Divine Doors at The International Builders Show

The worst part about going to trade shows that have really cool products for the home is that I always come back and start thinking about what changes I want to make at The Home Idea Factory! The International Builders Show was no exception - I can't stop thinking about all of the amazing products I discovered, especially doors.
My favorite find was ARRAY - a very innovative introduction by ODL. What made it so unique is the two slated metal panels that are inside the glass - when you turn the Sun Dial the two panels move giving you more or less light coming through, and changing the pattern of the light. I've never seen anything like it, but I want it!
Masonite also had some really creative door designs, my favorite being what I called "Bubbles". It was a fun, modern design that would really add personality and character to a home.
A trend that really seemed to be catching on is sliding barn style doors. Masonite showed these and offered a great looking track system, and when I visited the Builder Magazine Gen Y home they showed a home office that had two of these doors that came together at the corner.
Jeld-Wen supplied the doors for The New American Home and once again they were dramatic and stunning.I also loved the dutch door they showed in their booth - a perfect solution if you have small children or pets.
