Complimentary Hotel Breakfasts
2025 was a year of business travel for this Lifestylist®. Lots of road trips to smaller towns, staging new manufactured homes, and a lot of consulting work in larger cities. After I looked at my calendar, I realized that I hadn’t been at home for a whole week until the end of the year! It has been fun to earn “elite” status with some travel and hospitality companies and see how the other half lives, but I have definitely paid for that privilege. Great hotel rooms, awful hotel rooms, incredible views, and views looking into a parking garage. As much out of boredom as anything else, I have started taking photos of those “complimentary breakfasts” we all know too well as travelers, and it is incredible how different they can be from place to place. Still, even in the same hotel, the quality can vary wildly from stay to stay. When Lisa Stewart Photography travels with me, we typically have a waffle bake-off to see who can be the most creative and make the best waffle. Spoiler alert - Lisa usually wins.

I’m thinking in 2026, I am going to make a rating system and really up the game on who has the best breakfasts. But for 2025, the winner is…… The Embassy Suites Hotel at Deerfield Beach. Not only did they have a great assortment of items to choose from, but they also offered bacon every morning! But the star of this stay was the omelette man, who was so kind and made the perfect omelet every morning. He was so kind, remembered me after the first day, and knew what I liked. I guess I should really give teh award to him, because he is what made this stay so special. Of course, on the last day, I wanted to make sure I got his name so I could rave about him in my reviews, and he wasn’t there. It just wasn’t the same :(
The perfect omelette and lots of bacon!
So I can’t think of a better excuse to go back. My omlette man, the super cool, enormous iguanas who hung out by the beach, and the beautiful views this hotel offers.
