Woman Walks Ahead

One of the special joys of being a member of the USA Film Festival is that you get to meet filmmakers that you would never get a chance to spend time with in any other situation.

Last night was one of those special moments when Michael Greyeyes was in Dallas for a special screening of his film "Woman Walks Ahead." Such a beautiful, profound film that everyone needs to see and be reminded of our Native American history.

Michael was no stranger to the festival - he had been in before to be a juror with the short film competition, and I'm looking forward after getting to spend some personal time with him to follow his career more closely.

Make a point to find a place this Summer that will be showing this film - you'll leave the theater a changed person.
